Connect Google Sheets
Use the Google Sheets connector when a worksheet should stay linked to its source and be refreshed without uploading a new file.
Before you start
- You must be a workspace Owner or Collaborator to create the connection or import a worksheet.
- Sign in to the Google account that can open the spreadsheet.
- Make sure the first row contains column names and the worksheet has at least one data row.
- Each imported worksheet becomes its own dataset. A workbook with several tabs is not merged automatically.
1. Authorize Google Sheets
- Open Data.
- Choose Add → Connection → Google Sheets.
- Give the connection a recognizable name.
- Authorize the Replit Google Sheets connection when prompted, then return to Luxiva AI.
- Save the connection.
Luxiva AI does not ask you to paste a Google password or service-account key. Access is provided by the Google Sheets authorization attached to your Replit account.
2. Import a worksheet
- Find the Google Sheets connection on the Data page and choose Import rows.
- Select a spreadsheet from the list visible to the authorized Google account.
- Select one worksheet.
- Wait for the rows and columns to be profiled.
- Review the proposed metrics and approve only the definitions you want to keep.
The resulting dataset records the spreadsheet and worksheet it came from. Import another worksheet separately if you need more than one tab.
Refresh and source ownership
Use Refresh on the dataset to pull the selected worksheet again. A refresh replaces the connector-backed snapshot with the current worksheet rows; it does not append only the newest rows. If refresh fails, the last successful snapshot remains available.
Because the source owns these rows, local cleaning would be overwritten by the next refresh. Fix durable data-quality issues in Google Sheets, then refresh the dataset.
Troubleshooting
No spreadsheets appear
Confirm that the authorized Google account can open the spreadsheet. If the authorization expired or the wrong account was connected, reconnect Google Sheets and retry.
The worksheet does not appear
Check that you opened the correct spreadsheet and that the tab has not been deleted or hidden from the connected account.
The import says the source is empty
Add a header row and at least one data row. Avoid merged header cells and blank column names.
Changes are not visible
Changes in Google Sheets are not pushed automatically. Refresh the connected dataset in Luxiva AI.
