Invite your clients
Once your Portal and at least one agent are published, clients need to sign in to use them. This page covers the two ways to bring them in and what they can do once they arrive.
Send clients the Luxiva-hosted portal address —
https://luxiva.ai/app/<your-link-name> — shown on the Portal page. Custom
domains are not currently supported. Manage the roster on the same page.
Two ways in
Invite by email
On the Portal page, enter a client's email address. This creates an
invitation and gives you a /join/<token> link to send them. When they open it:
- If they already have an account, they sign in and join your workspace.
- If they do not, they register first — the invitation survives the round trip, so they land in the right workspace afterwards.
Invited clients join as members with consume-only access.
A shareable join link
For a cohort you do not want to invite one by one, create an open join link for
a published agent. Anyone with the link (/portal/join/<token>) who signs in
can redeem it and join the corresponding workspace as a client. The link is not
bound to an email address. Use it for a launch to an existing customer list;
prefer email invitations when you want the roster controlled. Revoking the link
immediately invalidates invitations that have not yet been redeemed.
What "consume-only" means
A client member can:
- Open the Portal and see the agents published to the workspace.
- Chat with those agents and keep their conversation history.
- Open, download and share the files an agent produced for them.
- Report an answer that looks wrong.
- Pin a personal fact for their own conversations — which the owner can review and promote so the whole team benefits.
A client member cannot:
- Create, edit, duplicate or delete an agent.
- See datasets, metric definitions, skills or connections.
- Reach any builder or administration page.
- See agents you have not published.
These limits are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.
Roster and seats
The client roster lives at workspace level — on the Portal page — and is shared across every agent you publish, so you invite someone once and they get access to whatever you publish next. Seats are counted across the account by person: owners and collaborators use builder seats, while client members use read-only seats. The same person joining multiple workspaces under one account is counted only once. Plan limits and current usage are shown in Plans and credits and the in-app usage page.
Removing a member revokes their Portal access immediately. Revoking a targeted agent share also immediately blocks that link. Past conversations remain in your records. Owners and collaborators manage the roster and revoke access.
In addition to workspace members, an owner or collaborator can issue a targeted share link for an individual published agent. A valid link grants the matched account access to that agent in the Portal; it does not grant access to the whole workspace. The link stops working when it is revoked or expires.
Sharing results and follow-up questions
Portal clients can share a read-only snapshot of a result from their conversation. A public result link normally requires no sign-in: it freezes the conversation and tool results as they were, so it does not recalculate when the agent configuration or data changes. The link can have an access code, an expiration and revocation.
When creating a share, the sender can explicitly enable follow-up questions. Only follow-ups query the agent's current data, and they use credits from the account that owns the agent. Visitors use temporary identities and are subject to platform visitor limits and an optional per-link limit. Follow-ups are read-only: visitors cannot write data, export files or perform external actions. Leave follow-ups off to share only the existing result; once shared, follow-ups can be turned off but cannot be enabled later behind that link.
Helping clients get value on day one
- Publish starter questions. A blank chat box is intimidating; three good example questions are not.
- Pin the facts they will otherwise ask about. Definitions, what a region includes, which figures exclude tax.
- Name agents by job, not by technology. "Weekly Store Review" reads better than "Retail Agent v2".
- Watch the feedback inbox in the first week. Early reports are the cheapest signal you will ever get about a bad metric description.
